Privacy policy

Lamina is run by Mikdam Qandil, an individual based in Amman, Jordan. He is responsible for your data (the "data controller").

For anything about your data, email hello@laminafarm.app.

When you request a pilot: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, role, country, farm name, farm type and size, crops, how you track your farm today, your goals and any message you add. We also keep your browser's user agent, which helps us spot spam.

When you try the demo: the farm name you type. It stays in the page address. We don't save it in our database, and we leave it out of our visit counts.

When you browse: anonymous visit counts (which pages, which country, which device type, and steps like "demo opened" or "request sent"). These never include your name or contact details.

To reply to your request and, if you go ahead, set up a pilot for your farm. We rely on your consent, which you give with the checkbox on the form.

To understand which parts of the site work, so we can improve them. We rely on our legitimate interest for anonymous counts, and on your consent for session recordings.

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.

We count visits with Umami, which uses no cookies and doesn't track you across sites.

If you click "Allow", we also use Microsoft Clarity. It sets cookies and records how the page is used (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) so we can see where people get stuck. Text you type into forms is hidden from these recordings. If you click "No thanks", Clarity never loads.

You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.

We use a few trusted services to run the site: our hosting provider, Supabase (database), our email provider (to send you a copy of your request), Cal.com (if you choose to book a time with us), Umami (visit counts) and Microsoft Clarity (only if you allow it). They only process your data to provide their service to us.

If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy, and we see your name and number there.

Some of these services store data outside Jordan, for example in the European Union or the United States.

We keep pilot requests for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a pilot farm, we keep your details for as long as the pilot runs.

Anonymous visit counts are kept as totals and can't be linked back to you.

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@laminafarm.app and we'll act on it within 30 days.

If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant and we have your email, we'll let you know.
